Mission
To ensure that young children have an early start at learning a second language.
We achieve this mission through the following goals:
Expose children to languages and cultures while they are young and developing skills.
Encourage parents to learn languages with their children by practicing the target language whenever possible and by attending cultural events.
Expose the community to languages and culture through the annual Multicultural Literary Expo for Children and FREE story times at libraries, bookstores, and other venues.

LFA believes that successful language learning is accomplished through activities that use multiple intelligences, cooperative learning, and learning strategies. |
LFA provides other services as follows: (1) storytelling in Spanish, French, Swahili, and American Sign Language, (2) tutoring to students in immersion programs, middle school and high school, (3) consulting to organizations who want to start language programs, (4) training to organizations who recognize that teachers need to be able to communicate with Spanish-speaking parents and (5) translation services.
We also expose the community to languages and culture through our annual Multicultural Literary Expo for Children and through free story times held at libraries, bookstores, and other venues.
